This week, I've focused entirely on the CG drop. I initially started with just a stretched sphere hitting the ground, but I thought that having a little splash on impact would be a nice touch, so I've now switched to creating a sim instead.
The workflow is all in Houdini, using vellum fluids due to the scale of the scene. Below are the renditions I've worked on.
