I've started animating the guitar strings! I've finished the acoustic guitar. The workflow is the same for both the electric guitar and electric bass as well, so it won't take long. My original plan was to finish all of the animation before Class 10, so I'm still well on track.
I've also started coming up with names for the piece. I previously proposed "One Man's Ensemble" but I've workshopped it since.
Here's the list:
One Man's Ensemble
Symphony of a Single Mind
The Composer's Vision
The Conductor, The Orchestra (my personal favorite)
Phantom Ensemble
For the title sequence, I'm thinking of using a very fancy typography and having it being written on screen. This is the important part: the title will be at the end of the film after the song finishes. I think that'll have a more stage performance/orchestral feeling to it, like a curtain is being drawn.
Also, something I've been considering is instead of having the music and instruments start playing immediately, I'm going to have maybe 5 seconds of just silence at the beginning, with the instruments on the ground. Typically, there's always a little time before the musicians start performing, and I think it'll invite audience attention better that way.
